Cauliflower Poriyal / Spicy cauliflower Fry

This is the simple fry made in no time.And  it tastes so good.Its a perfect combo for sambar rice / curd rice.I will make this frequently as i love this veggie.I hope you all love it .Try this and let me know your comments.


Ingredients

Cauliflower - 1
Onion - 1chopped
Tomoto - 1 small sized chopped
Mustard seeds / kadugu- 1 tsp
Uraddal / Ulunthamparuppu - 1/2 tsp
Cumin Seeds / Jeragam- 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida  / Perungayam- a generous pinch
Curry Leaves - 1 spring
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Corriander Powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Jeera Powder - 1/2 tsp
Oil - 1 tbsp
Salt as needed

Preparation

1.cut the cauliflower into bite size florets.


2.Blanch them in hot water for 5 mins.


3.Grab your ingredients.


4.Heat oil in a kadai and splutter mustard seeds, urad dal and cumin seeds .
  Add asafoetida and curry leaves.


5.Add onion and turmeric powder and saute well.


6.Add the tomatoes and cook till soft.


7.Drain the water and add the veggie and saute well.

8.Add the spice powders and salt and toss evenly.








9.Cover the lid and cook till the veggie becomes tender.Saute inbetween to avoid sticking.


10.No need to add water since the moisture from the tomatoes is enough for the veggies to get cooked.Now the fry is done and it looks so good.
